I'm not shaving my head, but I AM donating about a foot of hair to Wigs for Kids for the second time in my 13 year old life. My personal goal is to make a new record for most times to donate a foot of hair for kids afflicted with cancer or alopecia. Kids' cancers are different from adult cancers. Childhood cancer research is EXTREMELY underfunded. A kid my age got hit out if nowhere with a rare form of childhood cancer. There's no cure, and minimal funds and research. My family and I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures. My mom, daddy, and brother are shaving their heads, while I donate my own. It's just hair. It'll grow back. So many kids need our help, so now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar, every penny makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers. Let's stand up for kids. Kids like me, or you, or your kids, or your kids best friend. Cancer isn't picky or choosy. You could eat all your vegetables every night, and cancer could come knocking. It's time to take a stand. Help us help them.
