According to the American Cancer Society, cancer is the second leading cause of death in children ages 1 to 14. Approximately, 1 in 285 children in the U.S. will be diagnosed with cancer before their 20th birthday. With a budget of approximately 5 billion, only 4% of the National Cancer Institute's funding goes to pediatric cancer. ONLY 4%. I read in a magazine once, "Let us sacrifice our today so that our children can have a better tomorrow." I hope that you will advocate and donate in hopes that this saying becomes a reality.
