I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Palo Alto Fire Department

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Palo Alto Fire Department

My reason for shaving my head is that I have the choice to do so. That may sound overly simplified, but I have been moved by the strength I have seen while treating/transporting cancer patients. In life, so often we are inspired to act after a negative event has happened to us or someone close to us experiences illness. I would like to show support and appreciate the strength of all childhood cancer patients simply because I have the choice to do so. This will be (hopefully) the one time in my life I am bald, I do not take this lightly. I may be a firefighter but as a female, hair is the one thing I have to feel somewhat feminine throughout a shift while dressed in uniform. My husband is certainly not exactly overjoyed by the idea of having a bald wife but he is immensely supportive of the research and contributing positively to another persons life.

Please donate if you're able and help me to contribute positively.

Appreciatively,

Sarah Mallon Wallace
