I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Lambda Chi Alpha

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Lambda Chi Alpha

I'm shaving for a second time now, the first being for a similar program called Hair for Hope, held in Singapore. I hope for one thing, that children don't lose their minds over losing their hair. And I hope people own, and take strength from their better but less visible attributes - their intelligence, their agency and courage, even their sense of humor. Childhood Cancer research is quite underfunded for the simple, largely unknown fact that it is different from adult cancer. But the tragedy of cancer itself is well-known and I'm no stranger to it. I lost a friend who volunteered with me doing local grassroots work in Singapore to leukemia, and a close family member of mine is now on pills, after chemo, for a ceaseless battle against Lung cancer. I don't mean for a sob story to explain why I should do this, because I think it's a worthy cause regardless, so I hope you consider donating or spreading the message.
