I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Luke's Syracuse Army

Friends,

On Sunday, April 2, I will be shaving my head for the first time since high school. I'm excited! I'm excited because I'm participating with a wonderful group of people who are supporting the fight against cancer, specifically childhood cancer.

Luke Ungerer passed away on January 14, 2016 at the age of 3 after courageously battling an extremely rare childhood cancer. Glioblastoma tumors are the most common brain cancer in adults, but they hardly ever happen to very small children or babies. In keeping with his parents' (Scott and Sheila) wish to ensure Luke's legacy lives on and also to try and prevent such an outcome for other children and their families, we've established a Luke's Syracuse Army for the St. Baldrick's Foundation Event at Kitty Hoynes on Sunday, April 2nd. Please consider joining our team at this 2nd annual Luke's Syracuse Army event to get your head shaved, or make a donation in honor of this brave little boy!

Thanks to your help last year, Luke's Army raised almost $95,000. That money was able to help fund a research grant, and the research is showing promising results! Please help us raise awareness and money so we can continue to fund grants and honor Luke!

This link will show you the amazing Dr. Adam Green who is doing cutting edge research that is getting results!

Your consideration of the cause is humbling and appreciated. Thank you so much!

Patrick
