We are fortunate to have numerous outstanding student-athletes at the University of Oregon that inspire me daily. Caitlyn Wong, one of these outstanding student athletes, recently inspired me with her passion for assisting others. She has organized a fundraising event with the St. Baldrick's Foundation, a charity that raises money for childhood cancer research through hosting head-shaving events. The 2017 Inaugural Oregon Baldfest will take place on April 30th and coincide with an Oregon Women's Soccer 7 v. 7 Spring Tournament. I am volunteering to shave my head during the event to raise money for childhood cancer research. Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something by assisting Caitlyn and raising money for cures.
Now we need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
