This is my dad's second year and this year my brothers and I are helping for this terrific cause. My brothers, Anders and Hendriks will be shaving their heads as well. This year we have had others that we know be effected by this awful disease. A student at the school my dad teaches at was diagnosed with Leukemia, a student at my school was diagnosed with a cancer, and another student in my dad's teaching circle is fighting brain cancer.
I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures.
