I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Christiana Arrowheads

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Christiana Arrowheads

I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures.

Our team is honoring my nephew, Ryan. Ryan is no longer a child but was diagnosed two years ago with Ewing's Sarcoma, a childhood cancer. He is currently at a hospital in Cleveland, OH undergoing a stem cell transplant which without research funds the procedure would have never been possible.

The team is also honoring our friend, Ally. Ally is the same age as my son, Elliott. She was diagnosed with neuroblastoma two days after her 1st birthday. Ally has been cancer free for the last 12 years. She too benefitted from treatments made possible by cancer research.

The team is honoring, Titus.  Titus's brother Niel is a friend of my son Calvin and was also an archer on my archery team (Christiana) in elementary school.  Titus is 8 years old and was diagnosed with leukemia about a year and a half ago. He is currently undergoing chemotherapy. Research funds are needed to continue to help Titus and others.

Finally, we are honoring John David. John David is the grandson of my wife's friend who lives in Texas. John David is my age and lost his battle with leukemia last year. The reason I am volunteering to shave my head is so a cure can be found to help kids like John David.

Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
