I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Baldtires

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Baldtires

Hi, this is Weston Marlin. I am going to shave my head for kids with cancer at the St. Baldrick’s Charity Event on March 10th.

The St. Baldrick's Foundation is a place where they raise funds to help find cures for children with cancer. Sadly, 300,00 children are diagnosed with cancer each year worldwide. In the United States, more kids die of cancer than any other disease, more than AIDS, asthma, diabetes, and much more. Since 2000, St. Baldrick’s has hosted nearly 4,200 head-shaving events and shaved over 190,500 heads, raising over $118 million for life-saving childhood cancer research.

I want to do St. Baldrick’s because I am the 5th grade class secretary in Highland Elementary school and if the kids in my school hear about me doing it they may want to shave their head too. Also, they might want to donate to me. I want to help St. Baldrick’s because I want to help kids and it would make me a very good role model in school. If a kid with cancer came into my house I would want to do whatever I could to help cure the kid in need. This means so much to me too because my friend and my grandpa shaved their heads in the past as well.

Please help me and donate money so you and I can help the kids with cancer in need of the new medicines. We can wipe cancer from history together. Use this link Wes Marlin. Thank you.

Your Friend,

Wes
