I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

See that brave kid standing next to me? That is Mark, and he is a cancer survivor. For several years now, Mark and I will be losing our hair together, to support St. Baldrick's. Mark and his family are neighbors; in May 2006, Mark, then 4, received a diagnosis that would not only change his life forever, but the lives of his family, friends and anyone who would meet him. Persistence, courage, love, and faith got them through, with some help from St. Baldrick's. Now that Mark's leukemia is in remission, he continues to pay it forward. Look at him now. When I started shaving my head 11 years ago, he would just come up with me as I got my head shaved until he was in middle school. Now, this is our 5th year being able to get our heads shaved together and will be the 11th year that I'm shaving my head! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures. Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
