Dear Family & Friends,
My journey as a cancer survivor has challenged me in ways I could never imagine. I consider myself extremely lucky to have survived my battle with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma over 21 years ago. As a cancer survivor, I have vowed to God, my family and friends to never stop fighting even though the hospital stay is over.
The battle continues in honor of millions of brave men, women and children who are still fighting their disease head on or who were taken from us entirely too soon. On April 2, 2017 I am shaving my head in honor of a brave 3-year-old boy named Luke Ungerer who passed away in January 2016 from a brain tumor.
Luke's unbelievable parents Scott and Sheila helped all of us understand that even in times of incredible illness, Luke showed everyone what life is really all about. For the second straight year Lukes Army has done an incredible job of not only honoring this amazing boy's life but creating an awareness that the fight is never over and no patient will ever be forgotten. Luke taught us all how to love no matter what the circumstances are and that illness will never break our souls.
I want to celebrate Luke's life and everything that he stood for.....courage, strength and most importantly his unconditional love.
Help me honor this incredible young man and countless others with your donation to my St. Baldrick's page. Luke's spirit will continue to live on forever in the hearts of those who loved and cared for him most. His fight will not go unnoticed and his lesson will not go untaught. We are and always will be soldiers in Lukes Army. Thank you for support and generosity for our second year in a row! Lukes Army is stronger than ever!
Sincerely,
Jimmy
