I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research with: D0-2020

I'm fundraising this year at DMU's St Baldrick's event in hopes to raise money for cancer research for the individuals and families affected by childhood cancer.  Each year thousands of of infants, children, teens, and young adults are diagnosed with cancer.  Your support and donation will go towards critical developments in treatments and help the many individuals affected by this difficult diagnoses.

This year, Des Moines University is hosting the event on March 21st. There are many children and families in the greater Des Moines area that will benefit directly from this fundraiser and be at the event.  Please feel free to search for children in the area, (or anywhere!), read their stories and donate in their honor. I hope you will come show your support, donate or volunteer and join me and others in honoring the children and families that are going through a difficult time.

I am also volunteering to honor my  younger sister, Ann Marie who was diagnosed with brain cancer at the age of 16. The thumbnail picture is of her on her final day of radiation treatment with the team of nurses that helped her stay positive and hopeful through it all.
