I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Stewart Society

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Stewart Society

Why I'm shaving my head with St. Baldrick's (Übersetzung unten):

1. I am raising money for childhood cancer research because it is incredibly underfunded and devastating to families (for more information see the links below). I would greatly appreciate any and all donations - even if it's just $5.

2. I am donating all of my hair to making wigs for children who are losing hair due to chemo. They deserve it more than I do. In addition, going bald serves as a symbol of solidarity in standing with children who are losing their hair.

3. St. Baldrick's holds a special place in my heart. While I was an undergraduate my younger brother had cancer. Through St. Baldrick's at UVA, I was shown support and compassion by friends and strangers who donated their hair and money to this cause.

4. Unrelated to cancer research, I want to challenge gender stereotypes. Who says I need long hair to be a woman?

Thank you for taking the time to read this, for your support, and your donations.

---

Warum ich meine Haare abrasiere:
