I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Hoping, Praying, Believing... & Shaving for a cure!

Done, and here's the result :)  Yesterday, with around 180 other humans of various ages and genders, I went bald to raise funds for childhood cancer research.  It was such an awesome event, where I met the true warriors in this battle, the kids who were bald too, but through no choice of their own, and their warrior parents.  There is no way that I won't be volunteering for St. Baldricks every year , but only as a shavee when I've got enough hair again :)

Thank you so much to my friends who donated, joined us, and who came to cheer us on.  Thank you in advance if you donate now that you see that I actually DID IT!

Why did I do this?  Because funding is being cut to the National Institutes of Health, which is a major source of research dollars for this vital need. More will have to come from organizations like St. Baldrick's.  It truly does take a village to care for these children.  It's on us.
