I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Hi! My name is Adela and I am 42 years old and a mother a beautiful 3 year old girl. Cancer is evil, and unfortunately it is everywhere. I have lost several family members to cancer, including my grandmother. My sister is currently fighting cancer as well. I have also lost friends to cancer, and have friends who have lost their children to cancer. It breaks my heart that anyone has to suffer through cancer, especially children. I feel helpless on the sidelines watching my family members, friends, children and their families live with the daily fight of trying to survive this horrible disease. Cancer is an unfortunate part of reality, but we do not have accept it without a fight.

Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So, I wanted to do something to help find a cure for childhood cancer. This is why I am shaving my head, so can raise money for childhood cancer research!

Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Will you help me reach my goal of $10,000? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.

Thank you in advance for taking the time to read my page. I have included pictures of me and my family below so you get to know who I am and who I live for! Also, I invite you to come out on March 12th and witness me shave my head in solidarity with all our young people who are fighting to beat cancer, and also for those who are now our angels. . .
