I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Dancing Donna

This is my second time shaving.  I was quite nervous the first time but wanted to show how passionate I am about the awareness in fighting to raise and the lives that matter. Three weeks after I had signed up last time, I found out we were pregnant. Add those to anxiety and together and it was nerve wracking. Also, I couldn't have the shot I was promised when I was getting shaved.   I do all of this because of a sweet girl named Donna, who I never got a chance to meet. I am friends with her dance teacher and was lucky enough to meet Donna's family at the last shave and her mama shaved my head. It was amazing.  This girl that I never met has changed me for the better and has caused me to become obsessed with raising money and awareness for childhood cancer because they need us to be their voices. We need more gold in stores. We need more funding. WE NEED MORE AWARENESS FOR THE KIDS!!! I have participated in the St. Jude walk/run event since it started. This was my sixth year participating this month. We are also called Dancing Donna and we all wear tutus in honor of her and her love of dancing.

My family and friends baffled me when they donated an outstanding total of $4000 for my head shave. I know that's a huge amount to try to beat, but I believe I can do it with your help. I can't wait for the day when I can say I have been raising money and volunteering since they were looking for cures but am now raising money to fund the cures they have found.  I believe that day will come in my lifetime and if not, I'm sure my two kids will help keep the tradition going.  Please help me reach my goal this year! You can help by donating and by sharing my page. Let people know how little funding childhood cancer research gets. Less than 4%!!! You can also help by becoming a shavee and joining the team Dancing Donna here. You can also do a virtual shave if you live far away and can't attend the event. But please SHARE, SHARE, SHARE!!!

I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures.

Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
