I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Children's Surgery Center

Just about a year and 3 weeks ago, our family was shocked with the devastating news that my baby girl (Natalie) had a 5.5 pound tumor in her abdomen.  It compressed her kidneys and essentially swallowed her left ovary.  She underwent an exploratory laparotomy on March 6, 2015 for a tumor resection.  While I cared for cancer kiddos day in & day out in CSC, I was NOT prepared for the emotions & loss of control as I waited for the pathology results to come in to know whether or not my baby girl had cancer. We lost an ovary but I am happy to report that the pathology was negative for cancer.  She is on medication to reduce future tumor development and her kidneys are back to normal.  I have a different perspective for what parents of children facing a cancer diagnosis face.  I'm raising money for childhood cancer research; in celebration of the fact that Natalie is cancer free; in honor of all the kiddos and their parents that fight cancer every day!

A SPECIAL THANK YOU TO MY CO-WORKERS IN CSC WHO TOOK AMAZING CARE OF BABY GIRL & MY FAMILY!!!

Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.

GRACIAS!!!
