I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

On Saturday, May 21st, I will be channeling my inner Nosferatu and having my head shaved here in Rochester. I have done this annually for four years as a show of solidarity with the thousands of children across the country currently undergoing cancer treatment.

The St. Baldrick's organization raises money to support clinical and translational pediatric oncology research. Importantly, they also fund a number of basic science research grants used to investigate completely new ways to battle childhood cancers. Therapeutic strategies arising from this funding have the potential to lead to safer and less toxic treatment options for children.
Last year, your donations helped me raise nearly $650 dollars for St. Baldrick’s. I’m hoping to break $1000 in donations this time around. Please click the link below and consider donating even a few dollars to our organization this year. If you are in or near Rochester, MN, consider stopping by Whistle Binkies on the Lake Pub on Saturday, 5/21 from 1-4pm to shave your head with me. If that’s not your thing, join us for a few beers and watch the festivities outside with us while enjoying the fresh hair. Together, we really can help make more childhood cancer research possible. Thanks for your support!
