I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Dear All, I am now participating in the fund raising activity sponsored by the St. Baldrick's Foundation for the 3rd year in row. The first 2 years, with your support, I was able to raise over US$5,000. This year I hope to exceed that goal. One of my classmates this year was diagnosed with cancer and he had to leave school and return home for treatment - his 3rd round of Chemo in his short life. I cannot imagine the pain and suffering he is going through now. With your help we can try and conquer this terrible disease together. I am 14 now and I am the only one of my friends who is participating this year in the head shaving ceremony. Others are concerned, perhaps more than when we were younger, about how they will look with a shaved head. I also don't really want to "go bald" again, but I need to help however I can. Maybe with funds raised this year I can even help my friend Casey never have to go through another round of chemo. Please join me in this fight and donate as much as you can to this cause. Sincerely Mackinley Thompson
