I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I'M BACK BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE OF THE WORLD. This is now my sixth year participating in the St. Baldrick's event as a volunteer. The past five years participating have been truly rewarding. Getting to hear the stories of the people who are shaving their heads and seeing the smile on their faces while getting their heads shaved is what keeps me coming back every year, even after I've graduated from Sachem East.

Cancer affects everyone at some point in their lives whether the person directly or a friend/family member. Alone we may not be able to cure the disease but together we can make a whole world of a difference. I recently read that the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge was actually able to help make a break through in ALS and I hope that one day so can the contributions of St. Baldrick's Day. Any amount of money helps, even a penny. Help us find a cure.
