I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Melting Pot for Cancer

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Melting Pot for Cancer

Hello, yet another year, 2016, of being involved with St. Baldrick's.  I think this will forever be an organization that I support after so many years and tears as a Pediatric Oncology Nurse at Children's Hospital Colorado.

This year I am not shaving my head but am so excited to be the team captain for Melting Pot for Cancer!  In 2013, my team name was the Bald Legette's but last year, 2015, I was excited to welcome Brayden and Presten's friends to our team and thus we created Melting Pot for Cancer.  This year, I will be the cheerleader for this team and am excited that my boys, Brayden & Presten, are shaving yet AGAIN and this year my dad will be shaving.  He's probably tired of seeing me on stage crying for the past 2 shave years.

Between 2013 and 2015, my team has raised $17,678 and I have individually raised $12,911.  Every single $ raised has such a significance to me because I work daily with some of the Physicians that receive $ from the St. Baldrick's organization to fund their research.  The research they are doing is to one day find a cure for Pediatric Cancer.

Since 2011, I have had 20 patients become angels because there was not a cure for them.  Two of them became angels this year, 2016 and it is only February.  How crazy that my individual total raised ends in "911".  I see these 3 numbers like that many times throughout my day each week and I know it is one of my angels letting me know they are watching over me!   Please make a donation to our team as a whole or any member on our team and help us make it to our team goal of $12,911 which will surpass last year's team fundraising efforts by $854.
