I am going bald in honor of my big brother, Rhys, who has gone bald twice in the last year. Rhys has acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), which requires him to go to the hospital lot and get chemo for 3.5 years.

Rhys is a brave cancer warrior who is doing great now, 1 year through treatment. There are a lot of kids with much worse cancers who aren't doing as well. On average, a child is diagnosed with cancer every 3 minutes. My family never thought it would happen to us, but it did. 1 in 5 of those kids do not make it through treatment and even more of them are permanently damaged or disabled by the treatments.

Only 4% of cancer research funding goes to pediatric research We need to raise awareness and funding for research to help the kids of the future. It could be your brother, sister, niece, nephew or grandchild whose lives will be saved through ground breaking pediatric cancer research.
