This year marks the second time my family has been affected by cancer. My wonderful mother Patti has been diagnosed with breast cancer once again. She is the strongest woman I have ever met, and I know that she will fight through it just like the last time. One of the things that upset me the most was seeing her day to day with no hair. It was a sign of her struggle, and the thought of it always brought me to tears. It was not only hard on me, but I know it affected her as well (and made her head cold at night). But why should she be the only one with a cold head at night? This year I have decided to shave my head. What better way to do that than by donating money to help childhood cancer as well. After all, it is not just my family going through this. There are thousands of families out there in the same situation, but for some of these families, it is the mother watching the child go through this battle. I know this whole ordeal has been hard on my family, and I can't even imagine the difficulties of those families dealing with childhood cancer. Please consider donating to Saint Baldricks to help these families win this battle and to let these children go back to being children again. As an added bonus you get to see me bald and laugh at the funny shape of my head. From all families that have been affected by this terrible disease at any point in their lives, thank you for you donation.
