I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Goldmanlocks and the Laurelhurst Bears

Thank you for visiting my participant page. I am so happy to be able to raise money for St. Baldricks. I have been sad this past year, seeing so many sick kids in clinic. We really need to make treatments less miserable and find cures for the kids who are dying.  I was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in April of 2015 and just started the maintenance phase of treatment this past January. So far I've had a couple surgeries, countless doses of chemo, and close to a dozen spinal taps. I still take chemo pills everyday and have to go in for a spinal tap every 3 months, and will continue this for the next 3 years.

Yet, I'm one of the lucky ones who hasn't stayed too many overnights in the hospital. Just 20 nights in the past year. I know some kids who live there for months at a time. I also don't have any organ damage that I know of yet. Some of the kids I know have feeding tubes or are stuck in a wheelchair. I'm lucky I haven't had either of those. I have lost my hair twice already, once last May and again in October. This time I get to choose when to go bald and I'm doing it on March 16!

Please help me raise money for kids' cancer research to give hope and make it easier for the hundreds of thousands of kids who will be diagnosed in the future.
