Friends, Fellow Firefighters, and Neighbors,
On March 19th in the memory of our fellow firefighter's daughter, Tara, I will be shaving my head again (2nd year for me, 7th year for him) to raise money to help find a cure to childhood cancer through the St. Baldrick’s Foundation.
This year the event is being held at Dell Children’s Hospital and our teams name is “Harley’s Team”, named after one of our teammates and Tara’s friend who is fighting this disease again. We have set a pretty big team goal this year, but I know we can do it with your help.
Worldwide a child is diagnosed with cancer Every 3 Minutes. St. Baldrick’s funds more research towards finding a cure for childhood cancer than any other organization other than the U.S. government.
This is a horrible disease that takes too many kids and ruins to many lives. Shaving my head is what I can do to help stop the needless suffering that cancer causes.
I am asking that you please give what you can to help stop this
Or go to www.stbaldricks.org and search my name, “Christopher Hartley” and click on the green “Donate” box, fill out and submit.
It’s just that easy to help find a cure!
Tara was a big supporter of St. Baldrick’s and participated when she could. Tara would want the fundraising to find a cure and better treatments to continue.
This is a family friendly event, so come out and watch and support ‘Harleys Team’ in the fund raising.
