I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Librarians Go Bald!

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Librarians Go Bald!

Two years ago, I chose to shave my head for St. Baldrick’s. It was such an amazing and exhilarating experience. On April 10, 2016, I’m going to do it again, and this time, I’ve got a team – Librarians Go Bald!

Many of us work with children on a daily basis. We watch kids grow up before our eyes, mentally and physically – learning to walk during storytime, writing their name on a library card, and reading a chapter book for the first time. However, what part do we play if they become sick?

Becoming a shavee with St. Baldrick’s gives me the opportunity to help kids with cancer. Our fundraising supports vital cancer research. Name one librarian who doesn’t love research?! If you are interested in participating, or know someone in your family willing to shave, please consider joining the team.

This April, let’s show Syracuse that their librarians aren’t afraid to brave the shave!
