I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

For the fourth time, I will be shaving my head to raise funds for childhood cancer research. Up to this point, with your help, I have raised $12,304 for St. Baldrick's! Last shave alone, I raised $8629. It's not enough though. Despite cancer being the disease that more kids die by than any other in, all types of childhood cancers combined receive only 4% of the U.S. federal funding for cancer research.

Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Even $1? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers. I can appreciate if folks have causes they are passionate about and give to, but consider this one as these funds can save lives of children, that could be your own or a child you know.
My shave this year is in memory of Jonny Wade, who succumbed to brain cancer on Christmas Eve, 2015, at the age of 8. He was diagnosed the day after Christmas, 2014. It has been inspiring to read about his fight through his mother's words on their Project Team Jonny page. My brother passed away at the age of 14, not from cancer, but I've focused on cancer recently because more children are lost to cancer in our country than any other disease. I have 2 beautiful children of my own now, and know how special all kids are. My goal is to help improve quality of life and extend lives of children who have cancer.
