I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

An important tradition of mine has been donating my hair to Locks of Love every few years. The tradition began when I was seven years old, and witnessed my two older sisters donating their hair. I thought it was so cool what they were doing that I wanted to participate myself, and have been doing so since. This year I was going to donate hair again, but I felt the need to do more than just that –which is why I have chosen to become a St. Baldrick’s shavee! I especially wanted to honor the people in my life who have been affected by cancer, and it would mean so much to me and to them for your support!

I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures.

Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
