I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Going Postal for Good

Join me in raising money for childhood cancer research! You may not know but I am a childhood cancer survivor. I was diagnosed with Leukemia at the age of five and underwent experimental chemotherapy until I was 13 when I went into remission. I am blessed to still be cancer free at 45 years old!! I understand how it feels to have no hair as a result of the drugs and withstood teasing and ridicule when I was young. It is a brave act for anyone to shave their head to raise awareness and donations to help find a cure & support children that are going through such a difficult ordeal. I remember the kids that were at the hospital at the same time as me and I remember when some of them no longer came because they died.  It makes me cry now to remember.

My goal is to have Team Going Postal for Good raise $10,000.00 and when we reach our goal I will shave my head.  This is a scary thought for me but I am determined to help give back to a cause that needs our help!   Join me on August 30th to show your support ~ donate if you can ~ volunteer to help at the event to shave your head (and fundraise), be a guest barber (licensed please) or for various other needed tasks. I challenge all of you to spread this event and challenge a friend to join you in donating and/or volunteering. WE CAN BEAT CHILDHOOD CANCER!!!
