I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team Cordia!!

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team Cordia!!

Last year, I participated in a St. Baldrick’s fundraiser because a former student of mine was in treatment for cancer. I really didn’t expect that I would shave my head more than once, but the whole experience was so remarkable that I’ve decided to participate another time. I was stunned by the exuberant crowd and the generosity of my dear friends: Cancer gets a lot of attention, but research in treatments for children with cancer remains underfunded. I’m happy to be briefly bald for St. Baldrick’s and for the kids it might help—my shave will happen on March 14. If you’d like to help by donating, we’ll be grateful: Last year, the “shavees” in Traverse City raised more than $60,000 for this fine foundation.Stay tuned for the upcoming picture of me without hair. :)
