I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: The Ryan Boys

We are shaving our heads to raise money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that our mom is a pediatric oncology nurse who has been taking care of pediatric cancer patients for over 15 years? She says she has the best job in the world, but thinks it is so sad that Pediatric Cancer research remains incredibly underfunded. In 20 years, 228,000 children were diagnosed with cancer - but only 1 drug has been developed for pediatric cancer in that time! Some protocols haven't changed in 30 years. The causes of most childhood cancers are unknown, and it spares no ethnic group, socioeconomic class or geographic region. Can you believe that Childhood cancer receives only 4% of U.S federal funding for research?? Our mom has lost many patients over the years to cancer. This year was especially hard. We are dedicating this to those kids who our mom loved so much who lost their battle this past year: Diego, Meera, Kyler, Vasilios, Nicole, and Francisco.
