For the second year in a row, I’m going to do something pretty extreme, and I’m writing to ask you to join me in one of two ways: You can do what I’m doing, or you can support me with a donation for childhood cancer research!
What am I doing? I’m going to have my head shaved at a St. Baldrick’s Foundation event on March 15th and your support would mean the world to me. This is all about raising funds to Conquer Childhood Cancers, because worldwide, a child is diagnosed with cancer every 3 minute.
For those of you that donated last year, thank you and please join me again. Together we raised over $3200 last year and this year I hope to hit $4000? If I can raise that much money, I think I can convince my son Sam to shave his head with me!!!
The St. Baldrick’s Foundation is the largest private funder of childhood cancer research grants. This is a volunteer-driven charity, which keeps fundraising costs low and grants high. St. Baldrick’s gave over $24.5 million to childhood cancer research in 2013– almost all raised by more than 58,000 “shavees” like me, from people like you!
Please visit my page on the St. Baldrick’s website to make a donation: http://www.stbaldricks.org/participants/mypage/763695/2015
You can give online or by phone (888-899-BALD). Credit cards are the most efficient way to give, or you can write a check payable to “St. Baldrick’s Foundation.”
Thank you for your support! I will think of you proudly as I shave to Conquer Childhood Cancers.
Sincerely,
Bryan
