I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

This is my EIGHTH year participating in this event!! And you can refer to me as SIR Ken Turner as I am a Knight of the Bald Table!!! Every year I have such fun and great support from people that I am going to keep doing it. It is for a great cause. So please give for the kids! That being said, my goal this year is $1000. Please try to give whatever you can to these kids. They need all they can get. Plus, there is always the fact that I look crazy with no hair!! :) And, what I found out and am reminded every year, is that it is cold!! With the winter weather we are having this year, I am sure it will be additionally chilly!! You would be surprised how much wind your hair blocks!! This year, I stopped cutting my hair after Christmas. When I started doing this 8 (!) years ago, I chose several young ladies from NC that reminded me in spirit, courage, or just their smile of my daughter Laura. Like all the years past I kept the trend going and I will continue to honor them again this year. I can speak as a fact that my daughter touched so many lives in her short stay on this earth and continues to this day inspiring others. Kids should not have to go through such things in their life and just be allowed to be kids. Anything that can be done to make it easier on them or get rid of this disease is great. So again, please give for the kids. PS...It is also tax deductible.
