I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Santa Fe Springs Fire-Rescue

For many years my mom Eileen Clark has been involved with the St. Baldrick's Foundation as a head shaver from Del Sol Hair Salon for this event. I have always heard so many emotional stories from her about the cancer patients and the struggles that they are going through, and last year was the first year that we created a new team to help raise funds for the event. With the support of Fire Chief Crook, we put together a team to represent Santa Fe Springs Fire-Rescue and raised over $5000.00 in 2014 for the foundation. I would like to encourage you to consider one of the many ways that you could help out for this event this year: 1) Register as part of the SFSFR team and become shavee. This would include you collecting donations on behalf of our team and shaving your head at the event to support the kids. 2) Make a financial donation to the SFSFR team on your own behalf. (This works out if you cannot attend the event, or just decide that shaving your head isn't ideal for you.) 3) Share this event information with any of your own friends and family via social media outlets, e-mail, person to person, etc. Just do whatever you can to get the word out about it and collect donations on behalf of the SFSFR team. ANYTHING that you can donate would help these children. Nothing is too small....$2, $5, $20, $200...whatever you feel that you can afford to give would mean so much. Thank you in advance for any involvement that you choose to decide to do. Firefighter Tyler Stremel
