I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: BCoFD and Friends

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: BCoFD and Friends

Wow what a year it has been for me. So last year at St. Baldricks I got out of the hospital just in time to participate and have my head shaved. I finally got my transplant call on June 8, 2014. I received my new kidney and liver that day and am doing wonderfully. My face is no longer white as a ghost, I have rosy cheeks, even freckles, who knew!!! Since my transplant I have had the most amazing 8 months doing things I could never do before.

So that is why I am back here this year. I have not had a hair cut or shaved my head since last year (protein restriction causes slow baby thin hair growth) I want to help to find a cure for these kids so they can experience "normal" whatever that may be life. Just like I am doing now.

Therefore, I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures.

Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
