I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Hello friends and family, Thanks for taking the time to click on this link and learn a bit more about what I am doing for St. Baldrick's. A few years ago I joined this cause because I felt it was something small that I could do that ultimately would lead to something big for a child fighting cancer. I've been blessed in so many ways and while we all have our crosses to bear in life, a child fighting cancer needs all the help they can get.   I will never forget the conversation in a Dr's office a few years ago with a lady fighting cancer. She said losing her hair and the resulting stares was much more difficult than she ever imagined. For a young child who only wants to "fit in" losing their hair has got to be an even more daunting task. These kids have a level of courage that is desired by the fiercest of warriors.. So if shaving my head will raise some money so that some researcher in some university or company can run an extra test or figure out a new treatment then sign me up. As much as your donation will help my cause, the real help will be for you to sign up and shave your head as well! Now I will admit due to a work event that day with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation I won't be at the St. Baldricks event to shave my head but I will do so after my event or the next day. My highest contributor will get the choice to shave my melon if they live here in Cincinnati! Thank you again for your time and hopefully your participation. Spize
