I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research with:
Team Cody
Hello,
I'm raising money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures. I am dedicating this year to my friends son, Cody Waters.
Cody grew up in Orange County California and attended Enders Elementary School. He played football, basketball and baseball (his favorite) in Los Alamitos. He also loved to ride his Kawasaki 110. Cody has 2 sister, Makenzie and Kristen and both his parents are in Law Enforcement.
On Easter weekend in 2008, while on a riding trip in California City with his family, Cody became ill with flu like symptoms. After arriving home Cody got worse and was taken by ambulance to UCI Medical Center. . That night they found out Cody had a brain tumor. This also began the hardest and most painful year a family would ever have to go through. Eventually Cody was diagnosed with a Saratoga and underwent 5 brain surgeries, radiation, chemotherapy, and a tumor in his spinal cord, which made it impossible for Cody to walk. He NEVER gave up hope, he NEVER lost his smile, he fought hard to get better and remained positive every day. On March 14, 2009 Cody lost his fight agains cancer. He left us at a young age, but he was an inspiration to everyone. He showed us how to be positive and remain strong even when the future looks dark. Cody is missed everyday.... Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
Thank You
