I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team Sunshine

I originally planned on shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research, but found out that I could actually raise more donations by NOT shaving my head than by shaving it. I fully believe in the cause, in whatever capacity that I can participate, as volunteer or as a Shavee. Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures.

Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.

I am volunteering for this event in memory of one of the most wonderful human beings I have ever had the honor of calling my friend, though he was much more than just a friend, he was family. His name is Joey and he was seven years old when he passed away due to a form of Cancer called Neuroblastoma. Joey had been fighting for a long time before he passed away. Even with all that came with his illness, Joey was the happiest and most optimistic person I have ever know. He touched many lives with his outlook on life and forever changed mine for the better.

In honor and remembrance of him, I signed up with this foundation to raise money for St. Baldrick's, a foundation that raises money to research a cure for childhood cancer. This event is on March 7th, so let's raise as much as we can! Please donate!
