I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

In August 2011, my daughter Tegan was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. She was 2.5 years old. It was an incredibly long (26 months of chemo treatments) and hard time in our lives. Tegan is now chemo and cancer free, is healing and thriving, but as her Momma, I always fear relapse, or the long term effects that the chemo has done to her. These effects might only show up later in her life, but they are a near certainty that they will happen. I have twice shaved my head with the Canadian 46 Mommas team. With your incredible support, I have raised over $35,000 US for Childhood Cancer Canada. It is an empowering and humbling experience. The Canadian government gives less than 4% of it's funding for cancer research to childhood cancer research. Research is underfunded and new trials and hope are unavailable to those who need it most in this country. Your donations stay in Canada and helps fund research here at home. Please consider a generous donation. It is time for a cure.
