I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team Caitlin

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team Caitlin

My big sister, Caitlin, was diagnosed with leukemia when she was only 3 years old. She spent a lot of time in the hospital. It was a hard time. She was in and out of the hospital for 2 and 1/2 years. But Caitlin got better! She is *almost* five years cancer free! This is a BIG deal!! I'm shaving my head to honor her and to raise money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures. Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference!

A note from Liam's Mom:

For all that don't know, the fantastic Barbara Zobian has organized the ENTIRE St Baldrick's event at the Central Park Boathouse every year for the past 10 years with a ZERO budget. She is president and founder of Candlelighters NYC, a non-profit organization that helps families of children with cancer (who needs their own funding too!!). She basically opens her arms wide for all, and families travel in and out of her apartment in Manhattan at all hours. She keeps a closet stocked with surprises for the kids. Those extra smiles mean so much when times are medically rough. She's the one folks turn to when they are far from home and don't know what to do. God Bless Barbara - and her amazing family for supporting her! The world is a better place because of you and your family and we are blessed to know you. xoxox
