I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! This is very close to my heart because when I was four years old, my older brother Austin was diagnosed with Leukemia ALL. Austin is a two time survivor and is going strong of 12 years in remission. My brother is not the only person I have come across with cancer, I am very involved with Camp Okizu, which is a camp for families going through childhood cancer. I have met many amazing children going through the same experience that Austin has, so not only am I shaving my head in a celebration of Austin's remission, but also for all the past, present and future campers of Okizu.
Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures. Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
