I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures.

Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.

At last year's B-R Conquer Kids' Cancer Event I asked my daughters, as I've done at each of the previous events we've attended, if they wanted me to participate as a shavee at the next event. What we decided is that not only would I participate in 2015, but the event would be the next time I got a haircut.

Within a couple of months, my hair became a topic of conversation, which allowed me to communicate to a number of people why I was growing it long, and how I hoped it would help to find cures. As I prepare to participate, it is my hope that with your generous support at the event this year we will be able to raise more than $125,000. When you sponsor me you are really sponsoring those children who are battling cancer.
