My husband, Douglas County Sheriff Tony Spurlock, has agreed to shave his 30+ year beloved mustache if I raise $3,500.00 for childhood cancer research!
Our good friends, Arlan & Holly Kluth lost their oldest son, Chase Kluth, to cancer in August 2002. Chase Kluth was diagnosed with a Teratoma Brain Tumor when he was 11 years old. Chase was a beautiful active boy who fought a tough battle against cancer. He lost that battle on August 10, 2002. My husband and I attended Chase's funeral and were both deeply saddened by his loss and the impact it had on Arlan, Holly, Peter & Hanna. While my husband and I have both known many adults that have battled cancer, neither of us were aware that there are many differences between childhood and adult cancers. Cancer can be devastating for an adult and unimaginable for a child and their families. Your donation, whether large or small, will make a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
*Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers?
*Did you know childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded?
It is TRUE!! Help me make a difference and make a donation.
Thanks for your help! SLASH SHERIFF SPURLOCK'S STACHE!!!
