I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research with: MWU - College of Health Sciences

In December I took on the role of team captain of our CHS St. Baldrick's team to help raise awareness about and funding for pediatric cancer research. In late January, my nephew was diagnosed with a pediatric glioma brain tumor, DIPG. DIPG is an aggressive brain cancer affecting 250-300 children annually and outcomes for this type of cancer are poor due to the location and nature of the tumor. Currently the only targeted treatment to delay the progression is radiation. New approaches for treating these types of tumors are urgently needed. St. Baldrick's is an organization that only funds pediatric based research projects to help kids like my nephew Austin beat cancer. I challenge you to partner with me and the St. Baldrick's Foundation to help kick cancer's butt!

Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
