I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Hello Friends & Family! :)
On Wednesday, October 29th, I will be shaving my head to raise money and awareness for childhood cancer research and in support of my sister! Yes, I said it and meant it! I'm going bald!!! I will be buzzing my head and donating my hair to Locks of Love and as a token of my love and support for my sissy. Please take a moment to read and share, I would really appreciate it.

This year has been a challenge for my family and I. It has been even more difficult and life changing for my sister, Julia. She was diagnosed with Stage 4 Hodgkin's Lymphoma in January of 2014 at the age of 27. She is a strong, beautiful, and loving sister and even better mother, wife, and daughter. She has been undergoing treatment for the past several months; although treatment has not always been kind she has remained positive and we are hopeful that she will persevere.

Hodgkin's Lymphoma is the cancer of the lymphatic system, it compromises the body's ability to naturally fight infections, even something as simple as the common cold. Children and young adults predominantly fall victims to this particular type of genetic cancer. Over 9,000 people have been diagnosed in 2014 to date; however the number of children that are diagnosed with cancer has reached over 175,000 every year!

Watching her battle with cancer has inspired me to raise awareness about childhood cancer research. My hope is that continuous research will eventually eradicate or prevent cancer, but in the meanwhile help cancer sufferers live more normal lives, comfortably. Please show your support by sharing this link or make a donation. Whether its a $1 or $5, any support would be greatly appreciated. I will be posting pictures and possibly a video of my balding transition. Please private message me if you have any questions or concerns :) Thank you for taking the time to read and share :)

xoxo,
Suzy
