"Worldwide, 175,000 children are diagnosed with cancer each year. And in the U.S., more children die of childhood cancer than any other disease—more than AIDS, asthma, cystic fibrosis, congenital anomalies and diabetes combined." - The Realities of Childhood Cancer, St. Baldrick's Foundation
On March 19, 2015, I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research. There's a lot to be done in only five months, and I can't do it alone. I'm hoping to team up with friends, family members, UVA student organizations, and local businesses around Charlottesville to get the whole community pumped for this event. I'll need help setting up fundraising events, spreading awareness, and raising money, so jump on this balding bandwagon and let's get going! My goal is $1,000, and I know I can reach it with all of you.
As an added bonus, with every donation, I will send a ~personalized~ letter containing a joke and my sincere gratitude.
Here's just a taste...
Why don't bald people use keys? Because they don't have any locks.
What kind of injury could a bald person never get? A hairline fracture.
Bald Allie is so bald that she took a shower and got brain-washed.
What did Bald Allie say when she got a comb for her birthday?
“Thanks, I’ll never part with it!”
