I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Hi everyone! I'm raising money for pediatric cancer research, which is a very underfunded cause. My stated goal is $2000 but raising more than that will save these kids more quickly. Please help however you can, through donations or spreading the word; every bit counts!

UPDATE (4/11/2015): I'm SO looking forward to this. The last few months have been amazing, and I've learned how kind and supportive people can be if you believe in something.  My shaving time is 12 noon at Anna Hiss Gym (Dean Keeton/Whitis) and I'd love to see you there :)
My personal reason for this: I think most of us are very attached to our hair and would feel really exposed if it was suddenly taken away. Today's unrealistic beauty standards lead us to make snap judgments on everyone, so we don't take the time to actually understand most of the people that we judge. In doing that, we often forget that people have more important things to deal with than their appearance. I'm doing this to support people who don't have a choice in losing their hair and have a much more poisonous issue to deal with. I don't really know what will happen along the lines of public judgment or my own comfort and confidence, but I do know that I'm blessed to be healthy and this is the absolute least I can do to live in someone's shoes for a little while. I'll keep you guys updated on how it goes.
