I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: The Cocoa YMCA Peeps

I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research!

As the battle against childhood cancer continues so must the fight to fund the research. Did you know that you can make a difference in the quest to cure childhood cancer?

I will be a, "Shavee" at this event.
I am looking for, "Fellow Shavee's as well as, "Donatees!"
The St. Baldrick's Foundation is a nonprofit organization that raises funds for childhood cancer research by hosting head-shaving events worldwide. The goal of these events is to raise awareness and much needed funding for this urgent cause. Volunteers collect donations and come together to shave their heads to stand in solidarity with all of the children who have lost their hair in treatment.  St. Baldrick’s events have raised approximately $150 million, providing research grants to doctors and scientists at more than 200 institutions. These funds enable them to pursue the most promising new cures for childhood cancer, in addition to making clinical trials available to more children than ever. Since 2000, St. Baldrick’s has hosted more than 5,500 head-shaving events, shaving more than 244,000 heads in 30 countries and 50 U.S. states. If you have been touched by a child with cancer you know the urgency for finding a cure. As childhood cancer research is severely underfunded it is essential that we take a stand for these young lives. Together we can lend a hand to this cause and support the vital research that will give our children a fighting chance. 80% of the proceeds go directly to the cause! ***I would LOVE to make a TEAM of Shavee's, but if you prefer to opt out of the shaving, will you donate what you can?*** Be sure to come out to the St. Baldrick's Event on March 14th! It's going to be AWESOME! <3
