I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

As we progressed along with my St. Baldrick's Foundation marathon fundraising, I tried to thank you all as your donations came in. I'd like to thank you all again for making it happen for this wonderful cause, especially my biggest donors. I'd also like to give a huge shout out to everyone that shared my posts however they could.

I realize this mission probably wore on some, but we have $8100 to show for it which will go to finding new treatments and cures which will greatly improve the lives of children that have cancer. I call that a fantastic win that you should all pat yourselves on the back for. The Baldrick's event at Helen Fitzgerald's is typically the 1st or 2nd in the nation in terms of number of shavees and dollar amount raised. This year they brought in over $400k! Thanks to those that came out to support me! It's not only a nervous feeling walking onto and sitting on the stage for the shave, but it's an overwhelming sense of why I was there and how hard I pushed to get to my goal. They have the faces of honoree kids hanging up around the place. And that's why we do this - to save productive life years for those kids that die from this or go through hell in terms of treatments or the after effects of those treatments. You don't have to give your money to St. Baldrick's, but hold a cause dear. Consider others outside of yourself and together we can do great things.
