In January of this year, a dear friend’s 13-year old daughter Lyndsey was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her leg. She began chemo immediately and last week she had surgery to remove the tumor. She is doing well but still faces 18 more weeks of chemo before she can return to school and typical teenage activities.
To support her as she returns to chemo, I am getting outside my comfort zone and shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! On May 17, the same week Lyndsey returns to chemo, I will shave my head to support her and everyone fighting cancer. Childhood cancers are different from adult cancers and specialized treatments are needed as childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. I am helping Lyndsey and her family by raising money for research on cures and treatments.
Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers. You can support my efforts and help fight childhood cancer.
